The TechQuest Awards

Patenting

Individuals and teams are encouraged to explore patent protection for their work.  Please contact Mr. Paul Matri at the NJIT Office of Technology Development for guidance – matri@njit.edu. Public disclosure of an idea may limit or preclude future patent protection for the idea. If an idea appears to be patentable, it is a good practice to start the patent process as soon as possible.

All material in the written presentation considered proprietary for patent or other reasons is to be marked Confidential and include the name of the team.   Judging of the written reports will be by NJIT faculty or others who have signed a Nondisclosure Agreement. Posters and the oral presentation are to exclude proprietary information.
