Salinity Intrusion

This movie shows the salinity distribution in a beach with 120 meters of length and 25 meters of depth (only top portion of beach is presented) . The beach has 10% slope and regular tide has been applied. The concentration at sea is also 34 g/L (seawater at the coasts of the continental U.S.). The purpose of this simulation is to observe the dynamics of saltwater intrusion in deep coastal aquifers. The freshwater tube is formed near the low tide level.
