Research Summary

My current focus is on the characterization of a shockwave in a shocktube with reference to field conditions. I am interested in the behavior of the shockwave outside the tube with respect to dynamic conditions.

About me

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2012. In undergraduate, I worked in the Acoustics and Vibrations laboratory for two years, focusing on elastography techniques using continuously scanning laser doppler vibrometers to measure muscle stiffness non-invasively.

I got my Master’s degree from NJIT in 2015, where I joined the CIMB3 in May 2014, doing Finite Element modelling work. My thesis topic was about the validation of experiments focused on elimination of artifacts in shockwave profiles using an endplate.

I joined the PhD program at NJIT in January 2016, continuing at CIBM3.
