Cybersecurity education is a strategic priority at NJIT, reflected in the offerings of multiple educational programs and an extensive set of courses.

NJIT offers a broad range of cybersecurity courses, at both undergraduate and graduate levels, across several departments, including Computer Science, and Informatics (which includes the Information Technology and Information Systems programs).

We also offer two relevant MS programs:

The MS CSP program creates a strong foundation and detailed technical knowledge in security, privacy, and cryptography applied to computer systems, networks, and web applications.

The MS ITAS program takes a balanced approach to software and hardware applications and their conceptual underpinnings, offering an array of specializations that prepare students to assume leadership roles as IT-administration managers, enterprise-application administrators, and database, network, security and web services administrators.

NJIT is running the Secure Computing Initiative (SCI), a CyberCorps(R) Scholarship for Service  (SFS) program funded by the NSF.

NJIT has been designated by the NSA/DHS as a Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cyber Defense Education (CDE) until 2020.

The Center's Point of Contact (PoC) for the CAE-CDE designation is Prof. Reza Curtmola (
