Zetasizer Nano ZS, Malvern Instrument

This analyzer measures size, zeta potential, molecular weight and mobility of dispersed particles and molecules in solution, applying dual angle Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Non-Invasive Back-Scatter (NIBS), Static Light Scattering (SLS), and Electrophorectic Light Scattering (ELS).

Capabilities:

  • Particle size range: 0.3 nm – 10 μm
  • Zeta-potential range: > ± 500 mV
  • Molecular weight range: 980 Da – 2 x 1E7 Da
  • Mobility range: > ± 20 μ.cm/V.s
  • Temperature range: 0 °C - 90 °C
  • Universal dip cell kit:  available for measuring organic samples in aqueous and non-aqueous, i.e. non-polar dispersants such as hydrocarbons.
  • Surface zeta potential kit: available for measuring zeta-potential on the surface of a flat material in an aqueous environment, e.g. silica, PEEK
