Research Summary

The focus of my research is in understanding the cellular and behavioral outcomes of a combined blast and blunt impact.

About me

I did my undergrad in Biotechnology at SASTRA University, India. I earned my MS in Biomedical engineering at Duke University where I worked on identifying  gene level alterations of co-cultured cells used for designing tissue engineered blood vessels. My work experiences include working as a Tech Associate at the Department of Neurology, University of Rochester Medical Center and as a part of the clinical Genomics team at Strand Life Sciences. I joined the PhD program at NJIT in Spring 2015 under the guidance of Dr. Pfister and am working to determine the role of a combined blast and blunt impact in terms of biochemical and cognitive deficits.
