Novel Fiber Optic Imaging Instruments (with small form factor)

We have designed and fabricated numerous fiber optic imaging probes with millimeter or submillimeter diameter for different applications. In addition, we have developed various algorithms to analyze OCT signal for motion tracking in a handheld probe. 


Functional Imaging

I have contributed to the development of imaging platforms to reveal microvasculature morphology, visualize and quantify blood flow, and measure blood oxygen saturation. In addition to biomedical applications, I also explored the application of optical imaging in the examination of cultural heritage works, secure fingerprint acquisition and identification.
