Colloquium Speaker: Dr. Kevin Reardon
National Solar Observatory (NSO)
Kevin worked at the Institute of Hawai`i doing joint studies of Yohkoh and Mees Solar Observatory data. He then went to Italy for 16 years, where he worked in Naples and Florence. Starting in 2003, he worked on using and upgrading the Interferometric Bidimensional Spectrometer (IBIS) which was constructed at the Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory in Florence and installed at the Dunn Solar Telescope in New Mexico. In 2012, he moved back to the US to work at the National Solar Observatory, now in Boulder, Colorado, in preparation for the Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope (DKIST).
