Welcome

Welcome to the Tissue Innervation and Muscle Mimetics Laboratory! We are just getting started, so be sure to check back for regular updates!

The long-term goal of the laboratory is to design biomaterials and strategies to understand the mechanisms and processes by which tissue innervation occurs, and how to leverage these data to improve skeletal muscle repair outcomes. Our lab focuses on developing multi-disciplinary approaches including principles from biomedical, chemical, and mechanical engineering; biology; material science; and chemistry to address the problems of tissue innervation and soft tissue reconstruction. For more details, check out our research page.

On the student level, we focus on the development of strong communication skills within a diverse group of individuals to aid in their career advancement and contributions to the scientific community. We celebrate diversity in all of its forms, so if you are interested in joining please contact us!
